Got a New Address?

As you may remember from our wedding series, I recently got married – and for me, that meant moving too! I’ll soon be sharing some of my best tips and tricks for keeping a move (relatively…) painless, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t also share one even more important tip: you have to tell people where to find you!

Once you’ve settled into the new place, send out a notice of your new address. This is incredibly helpful for family and friends alike, especially around the holidays when they are sending greeting cards. And don’t forget to make these change of address cards as fun as you are by using a photo of your new home, a moving van or a little rhyme.

I made these fantastic little cards to send to everyone in my address book to let them know about our address change. My cards were two-sided and sent in an envelope, but you could even make these as a postcard to cut down on postage costs.

I made up this little rhyme below for our cards.  Feel free to use mine or create your own!

The moving truck is coming and our address will be new

A friend of mine who has moved a lot but recently married and settled into a new house made some cards that say “Time to update your address books in INK!”, which I thought was cute, too.

These can be creative and fun and there are some great templates available online at sites like Design & Print Center.
