Holiday Gift Card Holder – Sometimes the Wrapping Can Be Better than the Gift Itself!

As the holidays grow closer there are many opportunities for gift card giving. From co-workers to nieces and nephews, a gift card is always a safe bet. Why not enhance the gift by designing your very own holder?

With the help of the FedEx Office printing services and a bit of cutting, this stylish printable set will have you ready in no time! All you need to do is follow the directions below.

Materials

Copies of the two PDFs provided here and here

Craft knife, ruler and cutting mat or scissors

Bone folder

Glue

Small holiday paper punches (optional)

Holiday stickers (optional)

Step 1

Place an online order at the FedEx Office® online web site for color copies. Select 80lb card stock paper and make sure that the two-page PDF is processed as double-sided printing (the red background with colored lines are the outer part of the envelope page). When your order is complete you will receive email from FedEx.

Step 2

Using a bone folder and ruler, score the four lines that form the outline of the front of the envelope.

Step 3

Using the craft knife, ruler and cutting mat cut out the outline of the envelope. Fold the flaps with the help of the lines you scored in the previous step.

Step 4

Cut out the gift card holder (the largest piece) on the second page. Using the craft knife carefully but along the two half circles on the holder. Glue the holder inside the envelope.

Step 5

Cut out the To/From card and glue it to the front of the envelope.

Step 6 (optional)

If you’d like to give someone a holiday coupon instead of a gift card, cut out the remaining image and customize it with your own gift idea. Slide the coupon under the tabs in the center of the gift card holder.

Step 7

Close the envelope with a holiday sticker or glue it shut.

Here’s a tip for you - save the corner paper scraps from the envelope page to customize your project further. Use paper punches with holiday designs to embellish the front of the envelope.

Happy holidays!
