Round-Up: Crafty Creations

I’ve either got good news or bad news, depending on your ability to make enviable projects using only your imagination and some pinking shears: March is “National Craft Month,” a time to celebrate those among us who know what pinking shears are (and are not afraid to use them).
Since I prefer to think of March as the time when we start getting hints of spring weather and honor Irish culture with St. Patrick’s Day, I thought I’d search the Web for projects from those who don’t need to search “what are pinking shears?”
· Recycled dresser drawers become a home for artwork at A Nest for All Seasons. This is a really cool craft that can be adapted a number of different ways, and is also a great way to bring a sustainable practice into the home.
· In “Saint Patrick’s Activity A Day Countdown Calendar,” My Delicious Ambiguity shares an idea that is especially appropriate for March and includes activities for the kids. If you need help printing the materials for this project, remember that you can find a FedEx Office or use FedEx Office Print Online.
· Handmade paper lanterns – this project shared by Jessica Ackerman on Craftbits.comis a good one for the crafter who doubles as a party host. The materials she uses are very common and the instructions allow for some creativity.
So – how will you be celebrating National Craft Month?
