The Weekly Round-Up Gets Crafty

At Out of Office, we like to think we’ve got a lot of great ideas to share with our readers. But truth be told, sometimes we can’t hold a candle to the creativity of some fellow bloggers out there in the world. So when we find those projects that make us stop and say “Why didn’t we think of that!?”, we just have to share!

  • I’m convinced the woman behind Crafty Crow is a genius. Her site is an online crafting co-op of sorts, bringing together kid-friendly project ideas from people all over the world. From ideas for reusing bottle caps and egg cartons to wall art you can make with your kids, you have to check this site out.
  • The Art Projects for Kids blog is a great site penned by an art teacher out in California. She has years of projects just waiting for you to explore – from bowls made of old magazines, to fine-art-inspired murals, blogger Kathy’s posts are sure to inspire you.
  • I love Artful Parent’s ongoing felt board projects for kids. Not only can kids have fun helping think up and make the board’s revolving cast of characters, but it’s also a great way to teach and practice numbers, letters and new words for the younger set.

So there you have it. Some of our favorite springtime projects to keep kids and parents entertained when the weather is dreary or you just need a few things to fill the time. Make sure you leave a comment in the box below to tell us about some of your personal favorites or other sites we should check out for more great ideas!
