2010 Calendars – 12 Months of Creativity

I’ve always found beautifully framed photos of kids to be tried and true winners when it comes to giving holiday gifts to the grandparents each year. I’m sure you’ve found the same – even when it’s something you came up with last minute for Christmas or Hanukah. If you want to put a spin on it this year, think about putting together a family photo calendar. Some options to consider:

• Photos that are themed around the month. For example: your son at the pool in July, your daughter leaving for her first day of school in September, or the family trick-or-treating on Halloween.
• A children’s art calendar. Let your children draw their own designs for each month that you scan and use in place of photos.
• A calendar full of vintage family photos. I recently found a book in my mom’s house with photos from my great Aunt’s wedding. All the old-school black-and-whites could make a really fun retro calendar, too!
