Are You a Mom On the Go?

As a busy working mom, I’m constantly on the go. And it feels like every time I drop my son off to a birthday party or leave him with a babysitter, I scribble down my contact information. I found that I was leaving the same information over and over again – and frankly I’m starting to get a hand cramp just thinking about it! As a result, I finally decided to make cards – social calling cards – with all the info I find myself writing out again and again for folks in my personal life.
One of the best things about having a card with my name, phone numbers, email address and other pertinent information is the peace of mind. I’m always sure to be just a phone call away in case anything should happen. With these cards, my information is clearly marked and it’s easy for another parent or babysitter to carry with them and reference. Of course, they are handy, too – and I don’t have to worry about trying to find a scrap piece of paper and a pen buried in the bottom of my purse. I also love that I can jot extra details on the back – things like the agreed-upon pick-up times from a play-date, or a meeting point for a group activity.
And maybe it’s just my style (I LOVE cute stationery and other paper goods), but I don’t feel like I have to use these only for Tate. I can give them to new friends and acquaintances to keep in touch without mixing up a number or making a spelling error. And since they’re like business cards, but for my personal use, they can be a little snazzier and less formal. They’d make great magnets, too!
Cards like the ones I designed above with Design & Print Center are easy and fast to make because of all the templates. For the cards pictured above I inserted some generic numbers to keep my own contact info private (I’m sure you all understand!), but you get the idea. You can add text and even put some fun clip art or a matching design on the back. They ship in about a week and you can get them in quantities starting at 250, so you’ll have plenty to go around. Just don’t go changing your phone number!

Very cute design! These cards will sure impress the recipients.
Very useful
I've been using mom calling cards for a couple of years now, since relocating to a new state, and they have been extremely useful! Great to pass out at meetings, at playdates, and to babysitters. I don't usually carry a purse, so pens are not always handy. With these types of cards, you can always look prepared.
Love this!
What a great idea and a great way to stay organized and connected to new networks. These cards are a great way to meet new people and I love the envelopes!
Great Idea!
I have used this social card with contact info for years. For me it was a case of never having a pen handy to jot down the info. Now, it's so easy to just leave a card or give a card to a friend to contact you. Also, I added my facebook contact as well! LOL
wish I could turn back the clock
Gosh - I wish I could turn back the clock on this idea. I could have used it when my boys were younger. Great idea!
I just thought of an added bonus. You could also submit these "business" cards into local restaurants weekly giveaway boxes. I see many businesses that offer a free lunch drawing once a week for those people with business cards.
Great Idea

Calling cards for moms are a great idea! You can save money if you buy blank business cards and design your own at home. Of course you could also have them printed professionally too.
Mom On The Go Personal Calling/Business Cards Craft Tips
These are just what is needed! So many times I find myself on the go and don't have anything to write on so the personal calling/business cards are perfect and really get the job done. Their uses are endless such as for birthday parties, chance meetings, personal/business trips; even trips to the vet. This helps with less clutter and not having to carry a big bulky purse. Way to go!

I am a mom on the go- with three kids and I'm always asked for my number so that the kids can have playdates- this is an ingenious idea and I'm in love!!!
I also love the styles, colors and fonts. Perfect, that's all I can say...absolutely perfect and something needed daily!!!

I am DEFINITELY a Mom on the Go, so I am in LOVE with this idea! This would be perfect for preschool, the park, and all those times you need to hand out your info and have NOTHING to write on or with! What an awesome and inexpensive idea!
I love these papers. I think
I love these papers. I think that they are for any women that like to carry note pads to write on or cute papers to carry in case you need them.
My daughter...
pins one of her business-type cards inside the kids' backpacks. If they need her at school, they have all of the numbers they may need. I thought it was really clever. She also uses them at birthday parties if she's leaving, so parents know how to reach her. She's a ER nurse & has had injured kids who can't remember their mom's phone numbers. I thought the business card idea was clever, and they're not as expensive as they used to be!
Cute envelopes!

Great idea!
I oftentimes have no paper in my purse upon which to jot down my info for someone who is requesting it. I love the idea of having a readymade personal calling card.
