If you’ve walked into a store lately, it certainly feels like the holidays are right around the corner – and this year’s promotions are in full swing. It seems like the ads for special seasonal offerings and the hottest toys start earlier and earlier each year. There are even entire days dedicated to saving money on holiday items – Black Friday and Cyber Monday! But how do small businesses stand out from the crowd during the holidays, especially with so much big competition?

Falling on November 26, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Small Business Saturday is a day to support local businesses that create jobs, boost the economy and support strong communities around the country.

In support of small business owners, FedEx Office^® has signed on as the official print sponsor of Small Business Saturday, offering a special 20 percent discount on all FedEx Office^® Print Online orders placed through November 26. By visiting www.facebook.com/shopsmall, small business owners can access the discount and download poster templates to promote their participation in Small Business Saturday.

FedEx^® is also showing support for small businesses through a special gift card giveaway. Beginning today, the company is giving away 30,000 “Shop Small” American Express^® gift cards on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/fedex). The $25 cards can be used at small businesses on Small Business Saturday or anytime during the holiday season.
