Great Ideas to Repurpose Kids’ Artwork
My son has been coming home from pre-school for the last few weeks laden down with arts and crafts projects – everything from Thanksgiving handprint-turkeys to Christmas count-down calendars. I saw this great article on the Examiner Web site I just had to share for all the parents out there battling this issue too! Check it out here. She’s got five great ideas, and I have at least one more to share.
I’m going to turn some of Tate’s 8 ½ x 11-sized projects into the covers for his own personal notebooks. This weekend I’ll run by my FedEx Office to laminate the turkeys, fill the book with blank paper and have them bind it up. For a different twist, save up all the art projects for one school year, laminate each (back-to-back if possible) and bind the whole thing into book that captures an entire year’s worth of artwork. If you have any other ideas on how to save your kids’ projects, share them with us all below!

Organizing Kids art and school work
I keep a binder with empty page protectors. When my dd brings home her masterpieces I date them and quickly slip them into the page protectors. By the end of the school year I have a nice neat binder to keep.
I really like this idea
What about framing them too? I was considering going to a resale shop and buying some gently used frames and then framing some of my kids artwork.

My sister sometimes sends me artwork from my nephews and neice. I always enjoy seeing their creativity and this would be a great way to preserve it. I could even save it, and hold on to it as a keepsake for my sister to see - should be funny to look back on as the kids start driving and going off to college!
Great idea! I will have to

Now, this is what I needed. My son is in the 4th grade, but I still have artwork from kindergarten.

This is a great idea. I have been photographing the mounds of artwork that comes home and was planning on putting together a photo book of all the art that S has made during the school year.
