Let Freedom Ring!

July – the month of celebrating independence. Here at Out of Office, we thought we’d stretch out the “independence” theme and bring you a new twist on the idea – achieving independence from your office and your usual routines.
Today I have several tips to share for productivity during summer travel season and staying connected when you’re on the road.
1.) You don’t have to drop off the grid just because you’re away from home. Even though you are on vacation, work or personal matters can still pop up when you least expect them to. FedEx Office® offers a variety of services that allow you to stay connected when you are on the road. FedEx Office Print & Go and cloud printing capabilities (now with access to cloud storage services Google Drive, Box and Dropbox) help you print important documents while away from of the office – it’s as simple as uploading the document to a USB drive or sending it to print from your cloud-based accounts or mobile device. Additionally, most FedEx Office locations offer free in-store WiFi in case you need a place to get some work done during your trip.
2.) Plan ahead and ship ahead.
Travel can be expensive! A good way to curb baggage fees – and security line headaches - is to ship luggage ahead of time. Your bags can be sent directly to your hotel or to a nearby FedEx Office location (find the one nearest you here) using either FedEx Express or FedEx Ground shipping services. This way you can pick up your bags when you arrive in town, or have them waiting for you at your hotel. We also offer luggage shipping bags to protect your suitcase while it’s making its way to your destination.
But you don’t have to take my word for it – our center manager Cordell Golden from Clifton, New Jersey, says it best in this segment. Happy Independence to you!
