An Ode to the Sticky Note

Ah, the sticky note. Despite its simplicity, I think it’s one of the greatest inventions! That small yellow square is a staple in every office – whether home or business. Better yet, now it seems that you can get sticky notes in every shape, color and size imaginable. In fact, about a year ago I found the ultimate sticky note – a preformatted to-do list!

With my blank sheets dwindling, a replacement was definitely needed so I decided to make my own. I created a template and uploaded it to FedEx Office® Design & Print Center, but there are a variety of pre-made options there as well. As I was creating my template, I thought of a few places beyond the office where custom sticky notes would come in handy:

·         Homework Helper: help the student in your life keep track of important assignments, or steps in big projects. The sticky notes fit well into a backpack and will stick to notebook or textbook pages easily.

·         Busy Bride: create a master to-do list, a smaller list of tasks for each part of the wedding, or list out questions for vendors. The size will easily fit in your wedding planning binder or notebook and the adhesive will help it stay put.

·         Unique Gifts: remove the list numbers and lines and quickly change the text on the template for a personalized sticky note you can use as a small thank you gift, stocking stuffer, or part of a larger stationery set. Your design can be put on tons of other items in the Design and Print Center as well, so creating a custom stationery set is as simple as a few clicks.
