Round-Up: Jump into Fall with Eco-Friendly Party Ideas

Fall marks one of my favorite seasons with beautiful colored leaves and crisp, cool mornings. Growing up, one way we would celebrate fall was hosting our Annual Leaf Throwing Party for families in our neighborhood. We would rake all the leaves that had fallen for weeks into a large pile in our front yard, then invite eager, carefree kids to toss the leaves everywhere. What fun!

If you decide to host your own Leaf Throwing Party or Halloween Haunted House this fall, creating decorations are fun way to get your kids excited and involved in the party prep. Here are some easy, affordable and eco-friendly craft ideas by Kiwi Magazine to spruce up your fall party.

Toilet Tissue Roll Bat: How many times do we toss out old toilet paper rolls? Hold on to them and create this simple craft with your kids. All it takes are a few supplies found around the house and kids can express creativity by decorating a Toilet Tissue Roll Bat and learn about reusing household products at the same time. You can use these as place settings for the kids’ table or arrange them around the house as festive décor.

Pumpkin Masks: Spook up the fall event with Pumpkin Masks. Before or during the party, kids can create Pumpkin Masks with a simple paper plate then wear it during the party. Encourage creativity by asking the kids to show their mood with the pumpkin’s facial expression. Girls can make a princess pumpkin mask by using toy jewelry or beads from around the house.

After the party, express your gratitude to your guests for attending with a thank you note. This unexpected gesture can make a lasting expression.
