Show Me the Light!

Back in June, I shared some news from the annual FedEx Office Signs of the Times survey with our Out of Office readers. Our poll found that small business owners believed marketing and advertising were both key to driving business in 2010. And when it comes to attracting potential customers or promoting your products and services to current customers, signage can be a helpful way to share information quickly. Colorful graphics, bold fonts and catchy prose can help to draw attention to important information in an easy-to-read format.
While there are a variety of options small businesses can select, from indoor banners and outdoor sign displays, one you may not be aware of is something called a “backlit box display.” The feature that makes this signage unique is that the box includes fluorescent lamps that illuminate your sign. The bright lighting makes these signs attention-grabbing and it’s important to choose a compelling image that will pull customers in and encourage them to learn more. From a distance, it may even look like a piece of artwork hanging from the wall!
Once you’ve selected a great image for the sign, remember to use a complementary font and color that align with the overall brand and style of your business. Once your order is ready, you can set it up in a snap – literally! You snap open the frames to swap in different graphics, and the plastic overlay will help to protect the sign inside.
