Valentine’s Day Round-Up - Part I!

Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and even though I’m single I still love the holiday! The blogosphere is absolutely overflowing right now with holiday projects. Next week we'll feature some drool-worthy food finds, but for today's post I’ve spent a few hours surfing the Web looking for some of the most creative ideas for fun or romantic gifts, home decor, and family projects. (I have a rough job, right?!) I absolutely adore the ideas below and I hope you will too.

  • The Long Thread is a fantastic blog featuring all-things handmade. Ellen has dozens of wonderful Valentine’s Day projects archived, so don’t skip this one!
  • One of the girls I work with found this post on Poetic Home about a “card catalog of love” and insisted that it get included in a Valentine’s Day round-up! I must admit, it is an incredibly romantic and thoughtful gift…and I think it’s just as cute for kids or parents as it is when made for a significant other.
  • I spotted some easy-to-make Valentine’s Day bookmarks that would be perfect favors or craft projects for kids parties or school gift swaps. The mmmcrafts blog has a downloadable template to help create bookmarks with a fabric-filled cut-out window. Over at The Gaines Gang blog (LINK TO: http://thegainesgang4.blogspot.com/) they have a link to colorful, pun-filled bookmark templates for friends and loved ones.
  • The Southern Stamper took coasters to a new level by custom designing inserts for those photo coasters you can find in all the home goods stores. Plus, you could make inserts for every holiday and just swap them out!

I know there lots of fantastic ideas out there like these — so go ahead and tell us about your creative V-Day projects by leaving a comment.
