Make Your Own Pop-Up Mother’s Day Cards

A handmade card is always a great treat to give to mothers on their special day. This card is versatile enough that it can be used for any other occasion—like someone’s birthday or a spring greeting. As a bonus, an extra flower is provided with this card and it can be used as a gift tag!

Materials
-          Copies of the two PDFs provided here and here
-          Craft knife and cutting mat, scissors or paper trimmer
-          Bone folder
-          Ruler
-          Glue

Step 1
Place an online order at through FedEx Office® Print Online for the color copies. Select white 80lb card stock paper. Make sure the Envelope PDF is processed as double-sided printing and  select single-sided printing for the Card PDF. When your order is complete you will receive email and it will be ready for pick up at your local FedEx Office.

Step 2
Cut out the envelope following the solid lines. The dotted side is the inside of the envelope. Use the 4 crop marks as guides to score and fold the envelope sides. Glue the two side flaps under the bottom center flap. Set aside.

Step 3
Cut out and score the outer part of the card. Leave the blank side on the inside of the card.

Step 4
Cut the vertical straight lines in the center of the inside part of the card. Score and fold the card as shown in the photo. Make sure not to score across the pop-up rectangle (outlined in black) when scoring the center of the card.

Step 5
Cut out the flowers and ribbon on the last page of the Card PDF. If you’d like, the ribbon can be cut out leaving a narrow white border around three of the sides (as shown in the photo).

Step 6
Attach one of the flowers centered on the pop up rectangle of the card. Attach the ribbon to the front of the card using glue dots. (The raised effect gives it more dimension and interest.) Glue the inside card to the outer part. Punch a hole in the second flower, string it with ribbon or yarn and use it as a coordinating gift tag.
