ABCs and 123s: Tracing Out Learning Fun
The end of summer is near, and soon students will be heading back to the classroom. While they may be groaning all the way to the school bus, many parents are breathing a sigh of relief as the long days of “I’m bored” draw to a close.
Just because summer is ending, doesn’t mean the fun has to. Here on Out of the Office, we’ve talked about many ways to make learning fun, from flashcards to educational memory games. Well, we’re not done yet! We’ve got another fun and simple educational project to share – dry erase traceable letter and number cards!
They’re easy to make, especially using the handy template I’ve created. My design includes the alphabet and numbers, but you could also incorporate shapes or even words for older kids learning to read.

By laminating the cards, you can use them over and over again with dry erase markers. Just take the template to a local FedEx Office® store to print and laminate, or do both steps online using FedEx Office® Print Online. You can also have the cards bound together or have a hole punched to put them all on a ring.
These pocket or purse-sized cards are perfect for restaurants, long car trips, or practice at home for pre-schoolers or kids getting ready to head back to the classroom after a long summer.
Do your kids have a favorite “fun” learning activity? If so, we’d love to hear about it!
