Wedding Series: Tis the Season for Wedding Planning!

One of my favorite movies of all time is The Wedding Planner starring Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey. In the movie, Jennifer has this one line that goes… “You know the expression, ‘Those who don't do teach? Well those who don't wed plan!’” Oh yes, that line just speaks volumes about my life. I’m one of the few gals among my group of friends that hasn’t married or had kids yet. So when it comes to these monumental life-changing moments, I’m the one on the sidelines just observing and taking it all in.
All that mental note-taking has prepared me for my family’s most joyous occasion this year — my sister’s wedding in June! Now I can share my wealth of knowledge with my sister, Denit – who by the way is nothing like me. I am super-organized, somewhat tech-savvy, and all about the details whereas she is NOT! On top of that, we have differing opinions on the perfect wedding ceremony.
However, since this is her big day and not mine, I’ve decided to offer subtle hints and advice rather than push my thinking onto her. Plus, we’ve already had a little tussle over wedding dress shopping and I’d hate to cause any additional anxieties during this very stressful time.
But I do have lots of ideas to share, really I do…and so does the rest of the Out of Office team. So with that, I am officially kicking off our Wedding Series! If you are in the midst of planning your own wedding, helping a friend or family member plan hers, or even looking to start a wedding planning business, please check out our blog over the next couple months for a collection of wedding planning ideas from “save the date” magnets, décor, homemade guest books, and more.
And I bet you thought FedEx Office could only help with printing wedding invitations, right??? Oh, there is so much more that can be done so check back often to see our ideas. For now, take a look at the Design & Print Center for wedding-themed note cards that can be used for bridal showers and casual engagement parties or as “thank you” notes. My sister used the tool to make these cute “save the date” post cards for her upcoming wedding. I admit it…there was a little bit of debate about the layout, but I think they turned out nicely!

Wasn't Aware
My son is getting married in the Fall and I know what you mean about there being a fine line bewtween offering advice and getting overly involved - even if mom is in the business of providing wedding related services!
I wasn't aware that FedEx even offered printing services. They're pretty affordable too. I'd like to see samples though. Maybe you should list with Top Wedding Invitation Sites to help get the word out about the invitations.
Looking forward to reading more invitation ad planning ideas and perhaps checking out the business card and stationery printing.
