Wreaths to Make Your Neighbors Green with Envy
St. Patrick’s Day is just a few days away and, for me, that means an “unofficial” start to spring! So, in an effort to celebrate the season (and hopefully usher in warmer temperatures!) I decided to do a little decorating.
It’s easy to bring a little of that Irish luck to your front door – or even inside – with this fun shamrock wreath! Plus, this project is easy enough that even your little leprechauns can help. Here’s how to do it:
1. Gather your supplies. You’ll need a wire wreath form, a hot glue gun, a little ribbon, and lots and lots of shamrocks. I used one standard shamrock clip art design, but printed it in many different sizes using FedEx Office® Print Online. I also printed my design on different shades of green cardstock in order to add depth and dimension to my design.

2. Embellish the design. I chose to cut out and then laminate each of my shamrocks, to add sturdiness. I chose a dry erase laminate, since it’s less shiny than traditional lamination material. You might also think about outlining the edges of your shamrocks in glitter, or covering the entire shape in sparkles!
3. Ready, set, glue! Once your shamrocks look just right, it’s time to start arranging them on the wire wreath form. I dove right in, gluing as I went, but you might prefer to take a more planned approach and lay everything out ahead of time. Either way, be sure to mix your shamrocks up and distribute them evenly if you’re using different sizes, colors or embellishments. Also be sure that you allow plenty of time for the glue to set and dry before moving or hanging your creation.
4. Hang it up. Now that you’ve got a wreath full o’ Irish spirit, tie some ribbon around the top in a large loop. You could even add another shamrock here in the middle of the bow.
Voila! In no time at all, you’ve got a welcome new piece of décor to help welcome old St. Paddy and warmer temperatures. Cheers!
