Unexpected Ideas for Creative Projects

Last year, my family began a fun tradition of exchanging Christmas memories. It came about because we transitioned from purchasing gifts for each other individually to a white elephant exchange. I didn’t want to lose the sentiment that came with choosing just the right gift for each of my family and friends.

The Thanksgiving holiday just passed and Christmas is right around the corner. On top of that, my son recently turned three and I’ve been thinking lately about how I need to make sure we have all his best baby photos off the digital camera and printed out for frames, scrapbooks and albums. When I was growing up my family had decorations for every occasion and season. In the fall, Halloween decorations are quickly replaced with harvest decorations. To us, decorations are more than objects; they hold our memories and give us a chance to reminisce. Many of them are handmade by me or my sisters when we were young and give us a good laugh.
